Some ppl got severe problems with recording audio
i was always taught in linocut never to go back and forth with the brayer as im leaving other parts of the roller with ink and not spreading it well, but i see this is ignored here in woodcut, does it influence? cheers
She's such a fly sista
😅.😊
I really enjoyed this demonstration. I did note that when cutting out the blue you had to leave the lines for the black. I would have assumed that the blue blob would be just cut out but then you would have lost those black lines. This is a very important point to understand the reduction process. And I just also realised the same goes for the red and yellow. I've learnt a lot from this video, thanks.
Amazing presentation
There isn't an opiate epidemic. There's a pharmaceutical epidemic. Aka corruption
You did a really good job of explaining the process and first rate workmanship actually printing up the first and final print. Unfortunately I’m still confused, I know what’s going on but not able to grasp the cutting reduction process. It’s not you it’s me! Other than that….bravo!👍👍👌👌
Do you have information on the actual weaving techniques used? What sort of looms they used, how they wove the motifs into plain woven backgrounds?
You just pissed off a bunch of Europeans.
Mesmerising! Singe most informative and charismatically delivered reduction videos on YT. Now, I understand it. Thanks!
WILLYJACK!
Wonderful demonstration
Wonderful demonstration! And that brayer...🤩
She kinda sounds like Lena Dunham

Wonderful demonstration.. Thank you very much
This is good stuff. The complexities are endless! Thank you for breaking it apart, as it were.
Wear protective gloves I used to cut my fingers often
This is a great tutorial- thank you!
Wonderfully demonstrated and explained. Thank you very much. Now I just need to make an image that I can print using this technique which you have so wonderfully illuminated...
Predictably you've gone woke. I've unsubscribed and I won't be watching again.
..thankyou..Picasso would be proud of you..
👍🏻💕💕💕💕
Thank you for the detailed explanation.
And so much reading from a prepared speech. Woof of an introduction. But a good amount of information albeit less about the art and instead as an evaluation of the commodity of art in the Dutch golden age… odd lecture.
Your work is beautiful!
Thank you so much for sharing that I enjoyed watching the process! Your teaching is easy to follow.
What a cool process, thanks for sharing!
What awe inspiring talent, absolutely stunning work.
🤩👏
🔥🔥🔥
Wonderful demonstration! I have always wanted to try this but will stick to mono prints for a while to practice
I learned a lot and realy enjoyed watching this demonstration. Thank you!
Picasso was Terrible
It's interesting that UA-cam suggested this to me. I'm currently doing something similar with 3d printing where each layer of plastic is a different color and builds upon the previous layers but in most cases covers them up as the reduction linocut printing covers previous layers.
Really excellent teacher.
Thank you for the lesson.
Woke bs
Great demo!
Precisely because of the decline of skills and connoisseurship now anyone can call himself an artist. This is fine, but when the market coalesces around the idea of “whatever sells” and “fake it till you make it” it leads to the eventual degeneracy and cynical commercialism of Contemporary Art.
kewl.
Thank you for sharing this. It's one thing to see a work of art and appreciate it from an aesthetic standpoint. But sometimes, there comes a work that, through technique, makes the observer think: "how in the world did they do this?" For those that like to take the world apart, it's doubly interesting. I also appreciate that the destruction of the linoleum at each stage turns the mass-production ability of the press on its head, forcing a kind of scarcity like more traditional mediums.
First class print. That is a decent size press you have in your studio, the whole studio layout looks a very inviting working space. I was wondering if you also do intaglio and etching prints on the press. Thanks for the video.
awesome demonstration thank you. big fan of munch. the motorized press is crazy i love turning the big wheel
This is amazing , not sure i can get away with perfecting it without a machine but cool method I will forsure play with in the future .
Thank you so much for this insight!
Fascinating. Thank you.
